X-HERO：Save Animals is an action video game that mixes different mechanics in a slightly ambiguous narrative that involves puzzles of different kinds, heroes and heroines that look like animals, a city in danger, thieves and policemen, pets, cards and one or two other things.

As mentioned, the gameplay in X-HERO：Save Animals is quite eclectic. On the one hand, the game can be played online on different servers, meaning you can collect heroes (both in human and animal form), upgrade their skills and access the different arenas that exist in the multiple online servers. However, it can also be played offline with different mechanics. In this case, you'll have to solve a series of puzzles where, using different interconnected paths, you'll have to move some police officers to stop a thief from getting away. This will give you experience points that will allow you to enhance your heroes' skills.

In the main menu, you can also access the battle section to fight against other heroes. These fights will take place automatically and have a pretty good comic-book look. If you win a fight, you can add the defeated hero to your collection and use them in future fights. You can also get other items such as money, experience, new attacks, and so on. Each defeat will allow you to advance another map of a city.

X-HERO：Save Animals is an action video game that brings together elements of all kinds. Some seem a little out of place (like the cops and robbers part, which also has completely different aesthetics to the rest of the game), but it's precisely this that guarantees you hours of entertainment. Plus, the heroes are pretty well-designed.
